About Us
Malik Hüseynov studied at the Faculty of General Medicine at Azerbaijan Medical University from 2006 to 2012. He has been working at the Scientific-Research Institute of Pediatrics since 2012, initially as a resident pediatric surgeon and, since 2017, as a specialist pediatric surgeon. In 2023, he additionally took on the role of curator at the same institute.
In 2014, he completed an advanced training course in pediatric surgery and urology at Jena University Hospital in Germany. He has participated in numerous international conferences, including the Azerbaijan–Germany–Turkey Medical Congress, the Heart Team Conference, and a hypospadias course in Istanbul. In 2024, he presented on the role of ultrasound in the treatment of osteomyelitis at the I International Forum "Azerbaijan Pediatric Surgery Days." In 2025–2026, he gave presentations on the genetic aspects of congenital diaphragmatic hernia and Hirschsprung's disease.
His research contributions include co-authoring articles on the surgical treatment of necrotizing enterocolitis in newborns, hypospadias, and bladder exstrophy. He is fluent in English, Russian, German, and Turkish.
